HP CASL Framework (Cloud Automation Service Library) is a reusable content and orchestration framework from HP that accelerates the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud services. Built to work with HP’s Cloud Service Automation (CSA) ecosystem, it provides a consistent way to model services, automate provisioning across infrastructure and middleware, and enforce operational best practices at scale. By packaging proven blueprints and workflows, CASL helps IT teams deliver reliable, policy-compliant services faster while reducing design effort and operational risk.

Key capabilities:

• Prebuilt service designs and reference architectures for common web, application, and database stacks
• End-to-end orchestration using HP Operations Orchestration and RESTful integrations
• Support for hybrid environments (on‑premises, virtualization platforms, and popular cloud APIs)
• Lifecycle operations such as scale-out/in, patching, backup/restore, and retirement
• Integrations with configuration and release tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, HP Server Automation, HP Database and Middleware Automation)
• Extensible framework that allows teams to customize blueprints, workflows, and policies to their standards
